Scubaboy is James Ward and Jon Hardy. James and Jon met in
Bournemouth around 2003 not long after James had completed his
degree and before Jon had even contemplated going back to
uni.
Mutual friends, a good gig in town, various social activities, the
odd collaborative project, similar interests, but more importantly
'oh you've got an edit suite, can i use your edit suite?' are the
reasons we seemed to keep bumping into each other. From here we
started working together on a few bits and bobs which culminated in
a one time only visual/music/performance art piece that Bournemouth
wasn't ready for...so we packed our bags, left the southcoast
behind and went our seperate ways.
Continuing to work on ever more bits and bobs from opposite sides
of the country over the next few years the pressure of a long
distance directorship became too much and the seperate Scubaboys
collided together in Bristol to become the Scubaboy that you see
before you today.
