
We're very pleased to announce that our short film 'My Dream/My Reality' has been selected to screen in competition at Bristols very own 'Brief Encounters' film festival in November.
It's always been a major aim to have our work shown at this prestigious festival and with us in the 'Best of the South West' screening amongst such fine other films, we're doubly happy with our films achievements.

We don't get around to updating this site as much as we probably should. 2011 has been a busy time for us, since moving into our new studio back in february we've had a steady stream of work keeping us busy and things have been growing in a just about manageable fashion.
As a result things around here will be changing soon. Scubaboy is morphing into something new and we're looking forward to unveiling a new site and a bunch of new work in the next month or so.

Digital agency Pixillion asked us to collaborate with them on this piece for ThirtyThree Bristol for their client the National Trust.

2010 has been a busy year for us and despite being quite happy in our little studio we've kinda out-grown it, so once again it was time for a change.
This weekend we moved into our new home on Cotham Hill.

Klein & Sons commissioned us to produce a promo for Lloyds Bank. The video was designed to explain what the GCT department does to the rest of the bank and was used at an event Klein produced earlier this month.

London based agency Jack Morton commissioned us to create two animations for an event they were producing for IBM.

We've just finished producing the graphics for a BBC4 documentary. These included the title sequence which was based around a crime investigation board.

We've been working on a short film for the charity 'Cross Border Initiatives' (CBI) for the last few months.
CBI work to combat human trafficking and child exploitation, with a specific focus in Eastern Europe. Earlier this year they approached us and asked if wanted to make a film based on the true story of a girl who had been a victim of abuse. We read the it and decided it was a project we had to undertake.
Initially planning on producing on a animation, the project has been through many different concepts, before we finally ended up shooting it on 16mm last week.

Moving Parts has been selected for screening at this years Chicago International REEL Shorts Festival.

We've been working with US based artist 'Pretty Lights' on producing some visuals for his live show. Although he's not a massive name in the UK yet, back home he's a big draw, selling out headline slots at places like Red Rocks and Coachella.

We are pretty excited to announce that our music video for 'Moving Parts' by Mr Fogg has been selected for the music video category at this years Rushes Soho Shorts Festival.
The other nominations include 'Stylo' by Gorillaz - so we've got it in the bag obviously.

We've been doing a lot of work for UNKLE this year in the run up to the release of their album 'Where Did The Night Fall' which was released earlier this month.
The biggest project has been pulling together the visuals for their live show which is on the road at the moment. We've being compiling all of the work they've had done previously as well as produce visuals for some of the new tracks.

We've been commissioned by Ranger 3 to direct a music video for their upcoming EP release. The track is called 'Pendulum' and we shot all of the live action elements last week at our studio in Bristol.

Earlier this year we were commissioned by London based agency Large Blue to produce an animation for the Field Studies Council. It is part of a campaign they are running to raise awareness of the importance of fieldwork in all areas of research.

We're pleased to say that we've just confirmed a sort of mini VJ residence at Start The Bus in March and April at their new night 'No Need To Shout'.

New Year, new Scubaboy. After two and half happy years being based at Spike Island it was time for a change, so 2010 sees us settling into a cosy new studio.

We have been working with Science.TV to produce a set of motion-graphics for a series of programmes they have been putting together with Vestas (the world's largest wind turbine manufacturer).

We've just finished putting together some visuals for Delirious' farewell tour which is about to kick off. Although you've probably never heard of them these guys have been around forever, touring across the globe since I was a small boy.
The UK tour kicks off in Belfast next week and ends up with a final show at the Hammersmith Apollo where I think they're filming the gig for a live DVD release sometime in 2010.

Moving Parts is featured on Promo News today! We're pretty excited by this for obvious reasons. It's great to see our work up alongside some of the best of the industry.

We've just finished producing a set of motion-graphics for a promo for Channel Fours' 4 Talent Scheme.
Bristol based production company Calling the Shots produced the video and brought us in to provide the graphics.

On monday The Tate Modern hosted the official launch of the 1010 - an ambitious project that aims to cut the UK's carbon emissions by 10% in 2010.
3 weeks ago we had a last minute call from a member of the 1010 team asking if we could pull together an animation for the launch day. We had a 3 day window between other projects and holidays - so decided to see what we could do.

Back in January we worked on the title sequence for 'The Napoleon Complex' - a surreal comedy chat show directed by Roy Petersen. Roy recently asked us to produce a bunch of additional animated clips to use in the show, based on the same style as the titles.

After nearly two years based in Spike Design we've come across an opportunity to move that's too good to turn down.
