Recently we've been working on general self-promoting things like a
reel and a website - all that stuff.
Trying to put something together for yourself can often be the
hardest project of all - there's that intense pressure you put
yourself under to make it the best thing you've ever done.
We thought that instead of just getting a bunch of clips of work
we've done and cutting them together, it would be good to try and
create a completely new piece of work that sums up who we are and
what we do. Easy.
We talked a lot about it and came up with this idea. We wanted
something that was cinematic and epic, something that said
everything about us without being too complicated. And so on.
The idea is that something small can lead to something big. I guess that's how we approach a lot of the work we do and probably how we see Scubaboy.
Quite whether this communicates that or not we don't know and the problem is that we're not sure we'll often find ourselves in a situation where this would be useful to show someone. It also feels like it needs something else but we don't know what. So it won't get finished.
In the meantime we're busy cutting together a bunch of clips of work we've done.
